Tractebel Engineering S.A. is the Romanian business unit of Tractebel Engineering (GDF SUEZ) and until October 1st, 2009, we have pursued our business activities under the trading name of Trapec S.A.

Trapec S.A. initially focused on infrastructure projects, and very rapidly focused also towards projects in the energy field, that currently represent 55% of the business.

In 1997, Tractebel Engineering, an international group active in engineering and consultancy services, having the core-business in the energy field, took the decision to develop the business in Romania. Tractebel Engineering entered the market by buying over 85% of Trapec.

In 2007, Tractebel Engineering became the only shareholder of the company. In October 2009, the Romanian company took over the name and the branding of its shareholder.
